I wrote Gris Gumbo Gris as both a love letter and a warning. New Orleans is my home — a city where beauty and danger live side by side. Every street corner holds a story, and some of them refuse to stay buried.

About the Author
Born and raised around New Orleans, I’ve always been fascinated by the city’s spirit — the music, the food, the faith, the struggle, and the mystery. Writing Gris Gumbo Gris gave me the chance to bring all those elements together in a story that’s as soulful as a bowl of gumbo and as haunting as the Mississippi River at night.
